Single-key shortcuts can be turned off in Settings. Browsers use the F keys themselves (F5 reloads, F11 goes full screen…), so the terminal leaves F1–F11 alone. The keyboard model follows Gloomberb (MIT).
Watchlist
Watchlist: choose “Edit” in the Watchlist panel, type a stock code (for example 2330) and choose “Add”. If you do not know the code, type the company name in the command bar above, pick the stock and choose “Add to watchlist”. After removing or resetting, “Undo” brings the list back.
Terms and abbreviations
- Limit up, limit down
- The close reached the highest or lowest price allowed that day: 10% above or below the previous close. ETFs with other limits, such as leveraged ones, are not marked.
- TWSE, TPEx
- TWSE is the Taiwan Stock Exchange; TPEx is the Taipei Exchange, Taiwan’s over-the-counter market.
- Shares
- Volume is in shares; Taiwan trades in lots of 1,000 shares. K is a thousand, M a million, B a billion.
- Turnover
- The total value traded that day, in New Taiwan dollars (NT$).
- Chg, Chg %
- The change from the previous trading day’s close, in points or dollars, and as a percentage.
- P/E
- Price-to-earnings ratio: the price divided by earnings per share.
- Dividend yield
- The dividend per share divided by the price.
- P/B
- Price-to-book ratio: the price divided by the book value per share.
- Yield (bonds)
- The yearly return if the bond is held until it matures.
- bp
- Basis point: 0.01 percentage point.
- Cross
- A rate worked out by dividing two others, for example JPY/TWD = USD/TWD ÷ USD/JPY.
- TAIEX
- The Taiwan Stock Exchange’s capitalization-weighted stock index.
- CBC, ECB, UST, MOF, JGB
- The central bank of Taiwan; the European Central Bank; the U.S. Department of the Treasury; Ministry of Finance Japan. A JGB is a Japanese government bond.
- USD, TWD, JPY, CNY, HKD, EUR, NT$
- US dollar, New Taiwan dollar, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Hong Kong dollar, euro. NT$ is the New Taiwan dollar.
- BTC, ETH, SOL
- The symbols of Bitcoin, Ether and Solana.
- KY
- In a company name, a foreign company registered in the Cayman Islands.
- UTC, HK, NY, FX
- Coordinated Universal Time; “UTC+9” is nine hours ahead of it. Times on this page follow this device’s time zone. HK is Hong Kong, NY is New York, FX is foreign exchange (currency rates).
- ETF
- Exchange-traded fund: a fund that tracks an index and trades on the exchange like a stock. Most Taiwan ETF codes start with 00.
Data sources and licences
- Taiwan stocks (TWSE): Taiwan Stock Exchange OpenAPI, under the Open Government Data License, version 1.0. Updated after each day's close, not live
- Taiwan stocks (TPEx): Taipei Exchange OpenAPI, the same licence
- English company names: TWSE and TPEx company profiles, the same licence
- USD/TWD: the central bank of Taiwan's interbank closing rate, the same licence
- USD against JPY, CNY and HKD, and EUR/USD: European Central Bank reference rates (via Frankfurter). JPY/TWD and CNY/TWD are crossed from the two sources, which publish at different times
- US Treasury yields: U.S. Department of the Treasury, Daily Treasury Par Yield Curve Rates (public domain)
- JGB yields: Ministry of Finance Japan, interest rate data (Government of Japan Standard Terms of Use, version 2.0)
- Crypto: CoinGecko (Kraken's public ticker when CoinGecko cannot be reached)

Japanese, US, Hong Kong, mainland Chinese and European indices and stocks are left out: no free source may be republished. Limit up and limit down are worked out from the previous close (±10%); leveraged ETFs and others with different limits are not marked.
Material information is shown as TWSE publishes it, in Chinese. Stocks without an English short name (ETFs, for example) keep their Chinese names.
